Our son's Seborrheic Dermatitis, akin to dandruff

My 16 year old son has suffered with Seborrheic Dermatitis for years. While it can look like a very very bad case of dandruff, it spreads to the eyebrows and is accompanied by an incredible itch, and there are red patches in the scalp. His even bled from time to time, probably from scratching.

We had tried over the counter dandruff products, the coal tar products, and then prescription shampoos and even 'buzz cutting' his hair to let the 'sun' get to it. He was also given a drug that costs, if I remember correctly, about $5 a pill which, I must admit, the side effects were so long that he didn't take them the full course because they did nothing for him early into the cycle.

Being new to the essential oils, but convinced they worked because of the experience my son had with N-Grain and his headaches, I decided to get the Lavendar shampoo. As had been his experience with all shampoos, the first few days it seemed to work. My son told me not to get too excited because the results fade fast. Well, to our delight, he continued to improve. The itch subsided, the red rings encircling the spots diminished and then went away. The 'dandruff' itself is gone but for a couple of spots near the temple, but the need to scratch it is no longer there. Even his eyebrows are clear! In addition his hair is light, full volumed and looks better than ever.

We have since added the lavendar conditioner which is helping him further, and will do a liver cleanse to clean his system out. I can't say it 'cured it' but it surely has brought his symptoms down to almost zero and kept them there!
