I had a very inflamed and sore gum surrounding one of my back teeth the other night which was preventing me from going to sleep.

I applied two drops of clove oil, a GRAS (Generally regarded as safe for internal use) essential oil, to the inflamed area and instantly the pain disappeared and I was able to sleep. The next morning all the inflammation was gone and it was completely normal.
