Really bad sunburn relieved by lavender

My husband plays men's slow pitch softball and their team had entered a tournament. I packed up the kids and we were off. It was a cool day, we were all dressed in sweatshirts and I didn't even think about getting burned....we sat down on the lovely, very shiny, aluminum bleachers where I remained for the the next 3 hours. Well, buy the time we left, I knew I was badly burnt! You all know the feeling....and it just got worse. As soon as we got home, I put Lavender and Peppermint on my face every 1/2 hour or so. When it was time for bed, I put one last round on, followed by a very thin layer of Animal Ointment. I should mention that my face felt better immediately after I put both oils on my face...And that I am a redhed, fair skinned, girl who can get sunburned by just looking at a picture of the sun :-)

So, anytime I burn, it is usually bad and I peel and blister and peel and blister. Well, I went to bed and got up the next morning and my face didn't hurt at all! I looked in the mirror and much to my suprise, I was not the slightest bit red!! I did not blister or peel, it was like nothing had ever happened. How wonderful is this stuff!!
