Lavender for the infection in my uncircumcised son

When my 2 year old son complained of his butt hurting I thought he was having a bit of constipation. Upon investigating we found the issue was inflammation around his foreskin. Within a few hours a red streak starting to become visible and his penis was beginning to look a bit puffy.

I pulled out my essential oil reference books- nothing. Went on line and what I found scared me a bit but I knew from recent experiences that I wanted to treat him myself and not seek our local medical advice.

Since I now knew the bad and the ugly I would be able to do good. I used 2-3 drops of Young Living's Lavender essential oil undiluted focusing at least one of those drops on the very tip of his penis so that the oil might possibly seep underneath the foreskin. I did this every couple of hours or whenever he needed his diaper changed, which we vigilantly kept a watch on even through the night to keep him as dry as possible.

Within the first couple of hours two things occurred: a discharge (which I believe to have been smegma) and a small bit of fuzz appeared. When I gently pulled the fuzz, it came out from under his foreskin. This was the whole reason for the inflammation.

Within 36 hours everything was back to normal for our happy healthy little boy!
