I am a pet groomer who specializes in violent pets. I get bitten frequently as a result. When this happens, I find Helichrysum oil to be really effective. Just a drop rubbed on immediately, not only removes the pain, it also prevents bruising from the crush of the bite. I have also used Helichrysum to dramatically reduce hematomas and also to stop bleeding from cuts. Its my "go to" oil for trauma type wounds of all kinds.

After that oil application, I follow it up with Lavender oil to prevent infection.
