Animal lactation increased with fennel

I have shared before how taking three drops of fennel in a glass of water made my breast milk increase when I was nursing my last baby. After that experience, I was asked by my Dad to do his chores on his farm while his leg was healing from an injury. I knew that our three dairy goats were not giving as much milk as we would have liked. We had attributed it to the heat of an Arizona Summer. One evening as I was on my way out the door to go do the chores at his farm I thought, 'I should try Fennel oil on the goats!' And I did. I added three or four drops to each doe's grain then milked as usual.

The next night I was reminded by my dad that I needed TWO two quart glass bottles, but that one would only be half full, a total of three quarts of milk expected. I remembered that had given the does fennel the night before and took THREE two quart bottles to the drain board outside for when I was done and brought the milk to strain at the house.

It was obvious when I got to the barn that SOMETHING had happened, both does were leaking milk, poor girls! As I milked I realized that I was getting more than usual, I had to give the Dog and cats at the barn more than they usually got, the bucket was overflowing! When I went to the house to strain the milk, I filled TWO BOTTLES full and a third over half! FIVE quarts received!

Two dairy goats gave HALF A GALLON more in one day, with three drops of fennel oil! Don't you just wish we could tell the Dairy industry about this, then maybe they wouldn't pump all of the dairy animals full of hormones etc. to increase their milk supply. Heck, they could just feed them FENNEL BULB!

I have now filed this piece of info in my brain under: 'Any mammal needing more milk for baby...give fennel.' *grin* Just wanted to share!
