CRPS TYPE II - What helps you?

Thirteen years ago I had an accident in which I nearly severed my right hand. I cut 4 nerves, 4 tendons, 2 arteries, and developed CRPS Type II (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome).

CRPS causes devastating chronic pain that worsens over time, migraines, inflammation of the spine and joints, and decreased mobility. I would love to hear from others who have CRPS and have found a protocol that works for them.

For me, I combine NingXia Red, which stopped the migraines, Alkalime (plus drinking 9.5 pH water) to reverse the inflammation, BLM and Sulfurzyme for the arthritis-like symptoms. I tried other products and found they were not as bioavailable as YL's organic MSM.

The Young Living supplements are outstanding, as are the essential oils, and I am so grateful for them. On a daily basis I use Frankincense, Sandalwood and Rose on my face. I sniff Lavender and all of the florals -- jasmine, rose, geranium, ylang ylang -- every day. I like mixing them with the resinous oils, blending in a little organic Alba Botanica lotion. The combination is alluring and uplifting, and is great for fighting depression and anxiety.

My sympathetic nervous system is too jangled to have Raindrop technique, but CRPS does a number on the facet joints, so sometimes I use the oils in the kit and rub them on the pelvic and cervical facet joints to get them to open up, release contracted muscles and ease the pain. For pain, I find helichrysum to be unbeatable. Palo Santo, applied to the bottom of my spine is also helpful. When I can't walk, but my spine is too inflamed for prolonged sitting, I find that applying Aroma Siez, Pan Away, or both helichrysum and palo santo make a big difference, extending the time that I can be out of bed.

I also have a lovely morning routine. I put lavender on my damaged hand, stretching out the fingers, and I say my gratitudes for all that happens, as everything, good and bad, is a blessing and an opportunity for learning. I affirm my intentions of being loving and compassionate, to appreciate the abundance extended to me, and ask for my teachers and my students to come into my life to help me stretch this vessel so it will hold more. Lavender is calming and opening. It has so many uses, and is exceptional for prayer and meditation. I also put Valor on the bottom of my feet morning and night.
