After being involved in a recent auto accident that totalled 2 vehicles I sustained severe bruising to my upper body. Praise God! Only bruising. The worst bruise was on my right breast, where the seat belt rested while driving. The breast was very sore and tender. With the bruise not even appearing for 2 days.

When I had sent out an email asking for prayer while recovering, my friend Beverly emailed back and recommended that I use Lavender for bruising. I have never cared for the scent of Lavender, but had it handy in my cabinet, as it was part of my essential oils kit that I ordered from Young Living. With everything to gain, I tried it.

The scent was hard for me at first. I applied very liberally the oil to my breast every night before going to bed. Within a couple of days the soreness had gone and within a couple of weeks the skin was clear again. I had experimented with the oil to see if it really worked. I only used the oil on that particular bruise and left the rest untouched. The other bruises took about a month to go away and none were as deep as the bruise on my breast. Oh and by the way I slept great! Now I can't live without Lavender - the scent will grow on you.
