Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

About 8 years ago I was told I had periodontal disease and needed to have expensive and painful root planing surgery. I used Melaleuca instead and then the Thieves toothpaste and mouthwash came along which I have been using daily for years.

Last week my dentist measured my pockets and they went from 7 to 2-3, with only one 4. My dentist was very pleased with the condition of my gums and my general dental health. I used to have shocking dental problems.

I then told my friend. Her husband had periodontal disease 15 years ago. The doctors recommended Hibiclens to irrigate the gum line through a fine needle. He has a low platelet count and the doctors wanted to do surgery and steroids, which they refused because it would be life-threatening.

My friend's husband wanted her to order 1 gallon of it but the pharmacy was out of stock. On an impulse she researched Hibiclens on the Internet and found that it was the cause of his lowered platelets and it was not to be placed in the mouth!

After hearing my testimonial about using Melaleuca for gum disease my husband rubbed two drops of Melaleuca on his gums. The next morning as he came down the stairs he had a strange look on his face. This was the first time in years that he had woken up without a toothache! He is so grateful to be able to eat his sandwich without pain for the first time in so long.

Thank goodness for the oils, for they are supportive of the gums.

A big Thank you to Young Living for providing these therapeutic oils!

2.Associated topics: immune-system — "Immunomodulatory activity of frankincense oil: Biologically, the oil exhibited a strong immunostimulant activity (90% lymphocyte transformation) when assessed by a lymphocyte proliferation assay."Link
3.Associated topics: immune-system — "Anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic [muscle spasms], antimicrobial, antioxidant, carminative [flatulence] and immunomodulatory properties of caraway suggest that it might exert beneficial effects on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).... CHE and CEO [caraway essential oil] at all doses tested were effective in reducing colon tissue lesions and colitis indices and the efficacy was nearly the same when different doses of plant fractions were administered p.o. or i.p..... These data suggest that caraway fractions are both effective and possess anti-colitic activity irrespective of the dose and route of administration."Link
4.Associated topics: dental,periodontal-disease,tooth-/-teeth,gums,gum-disease,toothache — Study 1: "[Oil pulling] would benefit the general population by giving more confidence in the ancient practices, thus preventing tooth decay and loss." Study 4: "Oil pulling can be used as an effective preventive adjunct in maintaining and improving oral health." Study 5: "The myth that the effect of oil-pulling therapy on oral health was just a placebo effect has been broken, and there are clear indications of possible saponification and emulsification process, which enhances its mechanical cleaning action."Link
