I have used the following very successfully on miniature horses, ponies and full sized horses.

I mix 2 TBSP of vegetable oil, 3 to 8 drops of the DiGize oil blend, and 2 to 6 drops of Peppermint oil, mix together and apply on the frogs of the front hooves.

The frogs are a part of the horses hoof, located on the underside, which should touch the ground, if the horse is standing on level footing. They are triangular in shape and extend midway from the heels towards the toe, covering about 25% of the bottom of the hoof.

So far I've had success with 7 horses doing this method and it works fast as I've seen with results in 3 to 5 minutes.
