Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I had suffered from fibromyalgia for several years. My symptoms included constant intense joint pain, insomnia and fatigue, TMJ, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and depression. My health deteriorated to the point that I would spend an entire week in bed. Eventually I felt unable to continue working. That was December of 2003.

Thanks to a dear friend I was introduced to Young Living products. I was VERY, VERY, VERY skeptical at first. I was also concerned about the cost. Being out of work was a huge financial burden on my family. Eventually I was able to afford to try one thing. I had a persistent rash and treated it with Bergamot oil. It went away after 3 days and has never returned. Then I was excited to try the next thing which was daily application of Peppermint and Lavender oils. I also greatly increased my water intake, filtered only.

Next I started NingXia Red juice. By then I was so pleased with the products that I became a distributor. The improvements in my health were so obvious that I was frequently sharing about the products anyway so it was an easy transition.

My daughter also has fibromyalgia. We both use Thyromin as recent research indicates hypothyroidism is the root cause of fibromyalgia. My daily regime consists of applying Marjoram and Valor to my feet for pain control and to combat the depression. I drink 1-2 oz. diluted NingXia Red juice and take Longevity caps along with 1 Thyromin every morning. I will reapply oils throughout the day if needed.

I put RutaVaLa drops on a cotton pad on my bed side table at night to help me sleep. I take 1 Thyromin just before laying down at night. I added each of these things one at a time. Seven months have seen an amazing improvement in all aspects of my life. I no longer take any prescription medications. If I had not lived it I would not believe it was possible. Thanks so much to Young Living.

3.Associated topics: irritable-bowel-syndrome-(IBS) — "Peppermint oil is harmless and acts locally to inhibit GI [gastrointestinal] smooth muscle contraction.... Peppermint oil solution administered intraluminally can be used as an antispasmodic agent with superior efficacy and fewer side effects than hyoscine-N-butylbromide...."Link
4.Associated topics: irritable-bowel-syndrome-(IBS) — "A 4 weeks treatment with peppermint oil improves abdominal symptoms in patients with irritable bowel syndrome.... The symptoms evaluated were: abdominal bloating, abdominal pain or discomfort, diarrhea, constipation, feeling of incomplete evacuation, pain at defecation, passage of gas or mucus, and urgency at defecation."Link
5.Associated topics: depression — "Beta-Caryophyllene [component of cannabis, clove, copaiba], a CB2 [cannabinoid] receptor agonist produces multiple behavioral changes relevant to anxiety and depression in mice.... these preclinical results suggest that CB2 receptors may provide alternative therapeutic targets for the treatment of anxiety and depression. The possibility that BCP may ameliorate the symptoms of these mood disorders offers exciting prospects for future studies."Link
6.Associated topics: depression — "A number of essential oils are currently in use as aromatherapy agents to relieve anxiety, stress, and depression. Popular anxiolytic oils include lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), rose (Rosa damascena), orange (Citrus sinensis), bergamot (Citrus aurantium), lemon (Citrus limon), sandalwood (Santalum album), clary sage (Salvia sclarea), Roman chamomile (Anthemis nobilis), and rose-scented geranium (Pelargonium spp.)."Link
7.Associated topics: depression — "Most studies, as well as clinically applied experience, have indicated that various essential oils, such as lavender, lemon and bergamot can help to relieve stress, anxiety, depression and other mood disorders. Most notably, inhalation of essential oils can communicate signals to the olfactory system and stimulate the brain to exert neurotransmitters (e.g. serotonin and dopamine), thereby further regulating mood."Link
8.Associated topics: depression — "The ylang ylang oil caused a significant decrease of blood pressure and a significant increase of skin temperature. At the behavioral level, subjects in the ylang ylang oil group rated themselves more calm and more relaxed than subjects in the control group. These findings are likely to represent a relaxing effect of the ylang ylang oil and provide some evidence for the usage of the ylang ylang oil in aromatherapy such as causing a relief of depression and stress in humans."Link
