A family member was looking for another option to treating hemorrhoids. Past creams had somewhat helped relieve the pain only and not the swelling. I researched for an essential oil and found Aroma Life would be a good oil. It has cypress which strengthens the vascular system (veins)and reduces edema and water retention, Helichrysum which also has properties for varicose veins.
I suggested mixing shea butter (karité) almost 50/50. Quantity of shea butter used was the size of a suppository. Inserting for rectal retention once every other day for 6 days. Preferably before bed time. Any carrier oil could also be used but would be more runny. Swelling has gone down considerably!
