Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I had a friend who became deathly ill. She had a virus around her heart. The doctors sent her home saying that there was nothing that they could do for her. I had offered oils to her husband, but I think he did not want to bother me, so he said no thanks. I went home and took a nap. When I woke up, I felt inspired to take oils over to their home. I did not know much or how to help her really, but I knew that I had oils that were anti-viral. Even if they did not choose to use them, I wanted them to have them.
I prepared some oils like Thieves, Oregano and Lemon and I can't even remember now and took them over. I sat in the driveway, called on my cell phone and told him that I had left oils on cotton balls in a baggie with instructions on how and where to use the oils. I told her husband that I had stuck them in the door if they wanted to use them. He thanked me and I left.

I heard nothing for two days. I'm on pins and needles worried, but not wanting to intrude. Two days later she called me and said two words on the phone. "Come over." That was all that she had the strength for. I grabbed my oils and my book and got over there. She was so weak.
I started rubbing oils all over, what ever I felt inspired to use. Joy was one of her favorites. I went over every day for about three days, then every other day for a little while. I brought NingXia Red juice and had her drink that. I had the diffuser going. She began to feel better and continued to improve. She loved the oils and would wear them all of the time. She joked about the "aroma".

They moved and we lost touch. I just emailed them last week. They are in Japan serving a mission for our church. She is as happy and vibrant as she once was. She is such a sweet woman. I am so glad that the oils were able to help her.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: viruses — "The presence of beta-caryophyllene in many essential oils might contribute strongly to their antiviral ability. These results indicate that phenylpropanoids and sesquiterpenes present in essential oils contribute to their antiviral activity against HSV [herpes simplex virus]."Link
2.Associated topics: viruses — "Taken together, we found an essential oil blend [Orange, Clove, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary] notably attenuates influenza virus PR8 infection in vitro via inhibition of viral protein synthesis at the post-transcription level. The lack of toxicity and potent specific inhibition ability make the essential oil a possible antiviral drug for influenza virus proliferation control and treatment."Link
3.Associated topics: heart — "Myrtle oil (MO) exerts hypoglycemic as well as mild hypotriglyceridemic activity in diabetic animals. The reduction in blood glucose level may be due to the reversible inhibition of alpha-glucosidases present in the brush-border of the small intestinal mucosa, higher rate of glycolysis as envisaged by the higher activity of glucokinase, as one of the key enzymes of glycolysis, and enhanced rate of glycogenesis as evidenced by the higher amount of liver glycogen present after MO administration."Link
4.Associated topics: viruses — "Tea tree oil (TTO) (Melaleuca alternifolia) has been used recently as an effective topical application for the treatment of skin infections due to a variety of aetiological microbial agents, including mainly bacterial infections. We detail... the successful treatment with TTO of a paediatric patient with warts on her right middle finger. TTO was applied topically once daily to the lesions for 12 days, with a successful outcome, including complete re-epithelization of the infected areas. The case highlights the potential use of TTO in the treatment of common warts due to human papilloma virus."Link
5.Associated topics: viruses — "Essential oils from anise, hyssop, thyme, ginger, camomile and sandalwood were screened for their inhibitory effect against herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) [genital herpes]. A clearly dose-dependent virucidal activity against HSV-2 could be demonstrated for all essential oils tested. Chamomile oil exhibited a high selectivity index and seems to be a promising candidate for topical therapeutic application as virucidal agents for treatment of herpes genitalis."Link
6.Associated topics: heart — "[I]dentifying... the effects of YYA [ylang ylang aroma] on blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) is important in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of YYA. The present results demonstrated that inhalation of YYA significantly decreased the systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Inhalation of YYA also significantly decreased the HRs in 10 leads.... In the present results, YYA caused a reduction of HR and BP, and a relief of the arousal level in healthy men. The present results show a sedative effect of YYA, and this study provides some evidences for the usage of YYA [as a] medicinal agent."Link
7.Associated topics: heart — "Aromatherapy... [consisting of] a blend of oils of lemon (Citrus limonum), lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), and ylang ylang (Cananga odorata)... is effective in lowering systolic blood pressure and sympathetic nerve system activity... of heart rate variability."Link
