Lavender worked great for an allergic reaction

My 4 year old has enjoyed many animal visits to the library storytime that we go to but last week a visit with a guinea pig had him breaking out in blotches and hives in a matter of minutes. He had multiple red patches on his face, his eyes started to get red and itch and the red patches had welts coming up in them. I immediately got out my lavender and put it everywhere I saw irritation. The itching stopped upon application. I brought him home and put him in a bath with just water. I put lavender on his feet before he got dressed and by the time he was dressed all evidence of the reaction was gone. Relief was much faster than any oral remedies I've experienced.
