An ulcer on the ankle

My father in law is an 87 year old altzheimers sufferer, and my mother in law is his carer. He is diabetic and has some peripheral circulation loss. A month ago on an overnight visit, my mother in law told me he had an ulcer on his ankle. When I asked how long he had had the ulcer, she told me 'about a year'. She had thought the right thing to do was to keep it under a bandage. When she removed a bandage on the ankle, he had a raised whitish area about 20 mm across, with a red surround. In the centre was a hole about 1mm across, and the whole area was extremely tender to the touch.

I took a very small piece of cotton wool to which I applied one drop of myrrh, and then gently wiped the cotton wool over the area. I then did the same with one drop of frankincense. This was done at around 7 pm. At around 9 pm he went to bed with no bandage or covering on the wound. In the morning at 7am, 12 hours later, the swelling had almost disappeared, the area was now able to be gently touched without him flinching, and the hole was nearly closed. I applied the same treatment again, and that evening the hole was completely closed.

Over the next week, the wound continued to heal. The ulcer is now healed completely. My mother in law expressed her amazement at the speed of healing. These oils are a wonderful gift to us all.
