My cholesterol checkup

I just went this past week to have my cholesterol checked and I was very,very pleased. Here is the great news about my check up. It went down to 168 from 170 now that does not look like a whole lot. Here is the good news:

HDL (good) went up to 46 up from 41 , LDL (baaddddd) went down to 109 from 117. My doctor is very pleased.

I started at 219 when my first doctor put me on meds. She put me on lovastatin and I do have to say that it did work . It dropped right down to 150. But with any kind of statin drug you have to have your blood drawn every 3 months. My husband did not like the fact that they are looking for damage to the liver. So he wanted me off it. I went to another doctor to help me get off it the natural way. She put me on Super EPA and DHA 3 a day along with an enzyme called lipidenze. It did go back up to 170. I told her that that was not good enough so we added another 3 Epa and Dha, also I added 1oz of ningxia red. It moved a little. I told her my goal was to bring up my HDL and really lower my LDL.

So when YL brought out Omega Blue ( in October) and the Longievity I dropped all the other stuff and took 3 Omega Blues , one Longievity and one ounce of Ningxia Red. She also told me she wanted me to get at least 30 gm of fiber a day. So I changed to a high fiber cereal and I take 2 fiber choice a day. I also added other fiber foods to my diet. This is what I have done sense October (for three months). Even though the EPA and DHA is lower in the Omega Blue I believe it is the YL oils that have helped to change the ratio between the HDL and LDL. I can not wait for another three months to see if it changes even more. I believe she will move me to a 6 month blood draw because I am doing sooo good!! I think I have her almost signed up. She is very interested in the way this has all worked out.
