I played in a string quartet at an outdoor wedding where there were many very large flies bothering everyone, including the bridal party during the ceremony. I had put Australian Blue on as a perfume that day and did not have any flies bothering me. I told this to one of my downline who used Australian Blue when out in the woods and she found that it kept the mosquitos off.
I've started putting 2 drops on the dogs each day to see if it will get rid of fleas but it's too early to tell if it's working. (They get to spend part of each day running around in 3 acres with poultry, llamas and goats.)
I recently used it again at another outdoor wedding. There were a LOT of flies. I had put 2-3 drops of Australian Blue on my neck and behind my ears before leaving home. Even though it was warm (Central Valley of California), I wore a long sleeved blouse to minimize bare skin. I was outdoors from 5:15 p.m. until after 8:30 p.m.
Another quartet member had a low backed top and stated several times that the flies were all over her back and arms. Another member with bare arms was being bothered a lot. I had one fly land on my hand twice. So when I had a break, I put a drop of AB on the top of my hand and never had another fly. When seeing me put on that drop, the member with bare arms wanted to know what I was doing. When I offered her some, she accepted readily and after putting a scant one drop on each arm, never had another fly.
