Intestinal distress in young child and DiGize oil

We live about 5 minutes from a 'Sprayground' water park for kids here in Upstate NY. Last summer, unfortunately thousands of kids became ill with Cryptosporidiosis, an intestinal bug due to a water-borne parasite that was blamed on the park. My two-year-old also had come down with diarrhea early in the summer, but seemed to recover. However, as is the case with this parasite, the symptoms would return. Eventually, my son became very clingy, whiny, feverish and uncomfortable. He had diarrhea again and even vomited.

The Dr.s here said there was nothing they could do, 'just keep him hydrated'. The only drug they could offer was 'experimental' and were only giving it to children so sick they were hospitalized. So I looked this up in the Essential Oil Desk Reference and lo and behold there was 'Cryptosporidiosis', with DiGize listed as the oil of choice.

I had Young Living overnight this oil to me. I began by diffusing it, rubbing it neat to my son's feet and lower spine. By the next day, my son was up and running around as usual, no fever, and no more diarrhea. I continued this regimen anyway for a couple more days, but we have had no recurrence of symptoms. (I am writing this about a year later!) Just another of the Young Living oils I will not be without!
