Peppermint has been the most effective oil for soothing the digestive tract in our family. By just applying 1-3 drops to the area of distress, it can provided almost immediate relief. For indigestion we take it internally in whatever form seems suitable in the moment. Sometimes directly on the tounge, sometimes in water, rarely in gel caps. Mostly applied to skin. It's the fastest way.
Peppermint also provided support for me when I went through an allergy attack I had with eggs. I became dizzy, extremely nauseous and I felt very jittery, like my stomach was vibrating. It did take several minutes for my system to calm down after applying Peppermint to my stomach, but it helped tremendously. I was still dizzy so I dabbed a tiny, tiny bit on my tongue and let that sink in. I was fully restored after resting and sipping water, about 20 minutes.
