Deep open wound in buttocks

Last summer my hubby was gored by a bull horn, a rip about 5 inches long and 1/2 inch deep at the bottom, tapering out to surface, in the left buttock. I did NOT take him to the ER for stitches or a Tetanus shot as all other friends were yelling at us to do! I remember praying, 'God, what oils should I get?' when I ran to the house while Harold lay on the grass in backyard, almost passed out from the bull gouge. What came to me was 'Lavender, Frankincense, and PanAway'.

I poured in those oils freely, then pulled the wound together and placed strips of surgical tape across the open wound. I dropped the essential oils in between the strips of tape, morning and evening, and covered the entire thing with Rose Ointment and fresh gauze. He was up working the next day, however, when he sat down, he sat on one 'cheek' for about 2 weeks. His wound closed beautifully, and is barely a visible scar now.
