Acid burns healed better with lavender

Not that long ago we lived in a VERY rual area. To reduce the amount of garbage we had to haul out to the main road for pickup twice a month, we would do a burn pile consisting of paper type products that would not create toxic fumes. Mind you, we did not burn plastics or magazines. Somehow a battery or two ended up in the wrong trash pile and while the flames were hot they exploded. My husband was tending the fire with his rake and hose so he was close enough to get hit. The hot acid landed on his bare leg in three places. It looked really bad.

I had just started using the oils from Young Living and decided to put them to a test. On two places I put Lavender, undiluted. On the third, the least severe looking, I put over-the-counter antibiotic cream and a bandage. I re-applied both to the wounds several times a day. In just a few days the burns where the lavender went, were gone. It took the antibiotic treated burn a lot longer to heal. Today you can clearly see the scar from the OTC treated burn, but nothing at all from the lavender treated burn.
