Ningxia Red versus a boil

My earliest recollection of being in a doctor's office was a visit at the tender age of 4 to have a boil lanced which was big, ugly and painful over my eyebrow. It was to be the first of many. As I entered puberty I found myself plagued with one every single month in one of the various warmest parts of my body.

After I had my hysterectomy (pre-YLEO!) I was relieved of the monthly visitation by this loathsome curse - I had developed a real sense of sympathy for the Bible character Job! But occasionally when I'm not getting enough sleep, or am under a greater than usual amount of stress, I find myself developing that familiar hard lump, dreading the inevitable pain and mess, and I fervently wish I was free of the culture that hides somewhere within me.

So last Saturday night when, after a couple of days of mild itching I noticed an almost 'ripe' boil, I took a double-dose of Ningxia Red and by Sunday at noon the size had decreased by half. Today (Monday at noon) it is almost gone and I am certain it will completely disappear without draining!

If I took Ningxia Red daily I probably wouldn't even have developed the silly thing in the first place. Let this be a lesson to me!
