After reading different e-mails on essential oils in hot tubs I tried using only oils to keep my hot tub clean. It works wonderfully! We cleaned it well and then added about 15 drops of geranium oil. Now we add about 3 drops per person as we get out of the spa. If we aren't using it much....it's now summer....we just add several drops about once every week to two weeks. The water is sparkling clean and refreshing. It has no chemical smells so we have no chemical smells when we get out.
