Dog once feared thunderstorms

My dog was becoming more and more terrified during thunderstorms or fireworks. He would shake so badly along with pacing and barking. I used a small amount of Release followed by Lavender and within minutes he settles down. I have tried other combinations of other essential oils; this seems to work the best. I first rub the oil between my hands, let him smell it, lightly run my hands over his ears, back and legs, rub my palms with what is left on my hands on the front pads of his feet. He is a lean medium size dog and I use about one drop of each oil.
