Poison ivy caused severe rash

I took my son to the doctor to diagnose what looked like a severe rash. The doctor said it was a good case of poison ivy, would take wks to heal & a week or so to quit itching. We had put lavendar on it & within two days of it starting to itch, it had dried up & crusted over (which is good or it can continue to spread). Within 6 days from the itching began, it was like new baby skin! That was by 3rd day we started also spraying it with lavendar & lemongrass oil & filtered water. We had tried taking only 2 pills of overcounter antihisthamine-which is only supposed to help with itch not heal it any faster. But my son noticed the best relief with the oils & prayer!
