Cat who perpetually licks her side and fur off

Magic is a LARGE 14 year old cat. I use PEPPERMINT on her (5-6 drops per go - they recommend 1-2 for small animals like cats). It has taken 5-6 drops for her to stop perputually licking her side. Her hair is starting to grow back in.

Whatever the digestive challenge is appears to lets off when she gets lots of PEPPERMINT to assist her system. It's a cousin to Cat Nip - both from the mint family, so it's a natural... so to speak.

I'm now using WINTERGREEN on her too on her sore legs (also on 16 year old Tatter's arthritic back). I seem to be going through a bottle a month (250 drops) on both of them. It's seems to help - Sometimes she's a bit ambivalent about it. She's striding with more ease so that's the scoop here.
