One of my customers was diagnosed with 'trigger finger' which I couldn't find it in the Essential Oils Desk Reference. One day I was looking for something else and stumbled upon it, on page 321 under the section on Connective Tissue Trauma (Ligaments, Tendons).
She didn't have many of the products listed for the condition, but did have peppermint, which it lists as single oil. (Page 322) In the New Essential Oils Desk Reference, 4th edition, it is listed on page 376.
Also listed under the Ligament and also Tendon section on the same page was lavender. So I put lavender oil in a sample bottle and brought it to her the next day. She rubs in a couple drops of lavender for about a minute, then follows it with a drop of peppermint oil. Last winter her thumbs 'locked up' almost weekly. Since applying these two oils, she has had only one or two problems all winter.
