I have worked as a Veterinary Technician for over 20 years and one of the most frequent injuries is from the scratch wounds of dogs and cats. Recently my own dog propelled himself from my front door off of my right bare foot to chase a groundhog he saw in the yard resulting in a deep and very painful gouging wound. I immediately applied Lavender oil to the wound and within seconds the pain and swelling disappeard. The speed at which the oil worked was astounding. Normally a wound like that would have been painful and bruised for days.
