Oils and Ningxia Red helped trembling dog

My little terrier has taken to spending cold winter nights on my bed, where he sleeps peacefully at my feet all night. Recently I was awakened by his trembling. Was it a bad dream?

I tried to comfort him but the trembling continued. What to do? I decided to try lavender, and was soon diffusing it. It made no difference, he still trembled constantly. Thieves should help, I thought. I put a few drops on his paws. It made no difference in the trembling, even when he licked it off. Then I thought of Ningxia Red. I put a tablespoonful in a saucer and offered it to him after first letting him try it on my fingers. He lapped it up greedily and licked the saucer as if looking for more. Then back to bed, where he curled up cheerfully and went to sleep. No more trembling, then or ever. Was it the Ningxia Red, or that in combination with the oils. I don't know, but it worked, and I was thankful! (I gave him a little Ningxia Red in the morning, just to be certain!)
