Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My wife and I have been with Young Living now for three and one half years and have had good experiences with the oils, yet they still amaze us.

My daughter-in-law was at a house where we were removing tar from a floor as we removed vinyl flooring squares. The floor had been glued down with a black tar or tar-like substance and we had put on some solvent to remove it. As she was stepping across the tiles that we had put down as stepping stones across this mess, she lost her balance and fell. In the process, she got some of this gooey tar mess on the front of her nylon coat. She asked my wife what we could do to remove the tar. My wife remembered reading a testimonial about someone removing tar from a carpet with Thieves cleaner.

My wife applied some Thieves that she had diluted somewhat and put in a dispenser bottle, then scrubbed with an old toothbrush. There was an immediate improvement, but still a black stain was left on the coat. The coat soaked in an stain removal solution overnight, with not much change. When she woke up, my wife thought about the solvent properties of the oils and chose Lemon oil because of it's pleasant odor. She dropped a few drops of the Lemon oil on the remaining black stain and scrubbed again with the toothbrush and it completely removed the stain from the front of the coat. My daughter-in-law was very pleased that her coat was not ruined.
