Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I take care of my dad who had a massive heart attack that lead to a stroke 27+ years ago. He was clinically dead for more than 15 minutes and spent 3 months in a coma. It left him brain damaged.

He has had relatively few health issues but has still progressively begun to deteriorate to the point where he was barely moving any parts of his body. His body was becoming more fragile every day. He had kidney stones that covered most of one kidney. He was passing pus, blood and stones at every diaper change.

He doesn't speak or communicate effectively and I rarely knew he needed pain meds until it was too late. He was all suffering and had no hope. I knew the oils could help him but had no idea he would experience such gains.

I started out using a few drops Eucalyptus on his Vita Flex points on his feet (I had NO idea of what I was doing) and within 2 days there was no more pus, blood or stones and his urine has been clear since. I put one drop of Helichrysum on his butt for a sore spot.

The next day he picked up a fork and handled it better than he did when he stopped feeding himself more than 2 years before. He is more cognitive than he was pre-pain meds. He is trying to speak out and reacts with intention for attention.

His shoulder was so swollen that he made a trip to the Emergency Room a year ago. This was because he sat in a wheelchair for a long time that did not grow with his needs. Using his hands he lifts and holds himself up while I wash him in the shower.

He is reaching for things and using his hands and arms in ways he couldn't before. His breathing used to be so shallow that I have gone so far as to touch him because I thought he was dead. He is now sleeping better and breathing deeper. He has such tight contractures in his legs that the physical therapist and pain doctor thought therapy would do more harm than good.

He can now stretch them out further and I hope to continue to see his range of motion increase. His feet are now a better pink than the very purple color they were. He has dermatitis on his legs and toes that is like cradle cap.

Before Young Living I would use a mineral oil on it that would leave sore spots where the crust fell off. I recently started using Animal Scents ointment and most all of that is cleared up.

He is having a bowel movement daily and he used to go every 5-7 days (if nothing else that alone would have been fantastic) You would think I had used all kinds of oils but the only ones I used are a few drops of the Joy and Peace & Calming oil blends (smell or feet), Eucalyptus, the Thieves oil blend on feet, Lavender, Lemongrass and Peppermint on the rest of him.

I recently started using the Aroma Life blend, a drop on his heart. I know if he could speak he would say "Thank you God for sending me these oils. Most of the phantasmal results we have experienced are by "mistake". How can anyone say these oils don't work?

I have to add my thanks to Gary Young, for without his sacrifice we would not have these oils.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: muscle-spasm — "Peppermint oil is harmless and acts locally to inhibit GI [gastrointestinal] smooth muscle contraction.... Peppermint oil solution administered intraluminally can be used as an antispasmodic agent with superior efficacy and fewer side effects than hyoscine-N-butylbromide...."Link
2.Associated topics: dermatitis — "Eyelid scrubs or massage with tea tree oil could be an effective treatment regimen in cases of blepharoconjunctivitis [and Demodex mite infestation]."Link
3.Associated topics: muscle-spasm — "Lavender essential oil has been used as an anxiolytic [anxiety] drug, a mood stabilizer, a sedative, spasmolytic [muscle spasms], antihypertensive [high blood pressure], antimicrobial, analgesic [pain] agent as well as a wound healing accelerator.... The present study suggests that inhalation of lavender essential oil may be an effective and safe treatment modality in acute management of migraine headaches."Link
4.Associated topics: stroke — "Myrtle oil (MO) exerts hypoglycemic as well as mild hypotriglyceridemic activity in diabetic animals. The reduction in blood glucose level may be due to the reversible inhibition of alpha-glucosidases present in the brush-border of the small intestinal mucosa, higher rate of glycolysis as envisaged by the higher activity of glucokinase, as one of the key enzymes of glycolysis, and enhanced rate of glycogenesis as evidenced by the higher amount of liver glycogen present after MO administration."Link
5.Associated topics: kidney-stones,kidneys — "Many plant extracts that protect against the development of oxidative stress manifest clear antilithiasic activity [preventing the formation of or relieving the symptoms of kidney stones].... Evidence obtained to date supports a contributory role of polyphenols [present in essential oils] in the prevention of cardiovascular disease, some cancer types, and osteoporosis.... The results show an improvement of the renal function in some treated groups with an increase of diuresis and creatinine excretion due to polyphenols pretreatment. Our results clearly validate the ability of polyphenols to protect against papillary calcification of kidney tissue, consequently preventing the development of papillary calculi [kidney stones].... The collective findings to date support a protective effect of polyphenols on kidney tissue. Thus, considering that injury of papillary tissue constitutes the first step in the development of COM papillary calculi, the antioxidant action of polyphenols may contribute significantly to their antilithiasic action."Link
6.Associated topics: muscle-spasm — "Anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic [muscle spasms], antimicrobial, antioxidant, carminative [flatulence] and immunomodulatory properties of caraway suggest that it might exert beneficial effects on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).... CHE and CEO [caraway essential oil] at all doses tested were effective in reducing colon tissue lesions and colitis indices and the efficacy was nearly the same when different doses of plant fractions were administered p.o. or i.p..... These data suggest that caraway fractions are both effective and possess anti-colitic activity irrespective of the dose and route of administration."Link
7.Associated topics: dermatitis — "[T]opical fatty acids and essential oils are a useful treatment option for canine atopic dermatitis."Link
8.Associated topics: dermatitis — "[T]ea tree oil seems to be a more effective anti-eczematic agent than zinc oxide and clobetasone butyrate...."Link
