Warning: Not all essential oil brands are the same quality. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that the oil you are using is made from pesticide-free plants grown in optimal conditions. Also, the brand should be a 100% pure, high-quality essential oil that does not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask trusted friends to find a brand that is reputable.

My 3-year-old woke up with a fever of 103 degrees. Around 11 AM I applied one drop of Thieves essential oil blend to his feet (1/2 drop on each foot). I also applied two drops of Lemon essential oil down his spine.

At 1 PM I diluted Peppermint essential oil with a carrier oil (1:5) and applied the mixture to each of my son's feet again. While he was napping, I diffused 4 drops of Thieves essential oil blend and 2 drops of Peppermint essential oil in his room.

When my son woke up at 3 PM, his fever had dropped to 101.5 degrees, and he was acting a little better. I applied more diluted Peppermint oil onto his feet.

At bedtime, my son's fever was down to 100.0 (especially impressive since fevers are typically higher at night). I again applied diluted Peppermint oil in addition to Thieves on his feet and diffused Thieves and Peppermint once more while he slept overnight.

When my son woke up around 7:30 AM, his fever was completely normal. I am beyond thankful for my essential oils!

Supporting Scientific Studies
1."Burn Healing Potential of Nigella sativa seed oil in rats.... Nigella sativa L. (Black cumin) has shown a broad spectrum of pharmacological effects like antipyretic [fever reducing], analgesic [pain reducing], anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial.... The present study suggests the burn wound healing action of seeds may be due to anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of major compounds in the oil."Link
2."[W]e studied the anti-inflammatory and gastroprotective effects of C. citratus [Lemongrass] and E. citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus] essential oils on formol-induced edema and acetic acid induced abdominal cramps in Wistar rats.... In vivo analysis and histological assay showed that the two essential oils displayed significant dose-dependent edema [swelling] inhibition effect over time. They displayed strong analgesic [pain-relieving] and antipyretic [fever-reducing] properties similar to that induced by 50 mg/kg of acetylsalicylate of lysine.... This work demonstrates the anti-inflammatory property of Cymbopogon citratus [Lemongrass] and Eucalyptus citriodora [Lemon Eucalyptus], suggesting their potential role as adjuvant therapeutic alternatives in dealing with inflammatory-related diseases."Link
