When I was first introduced to therapeutic-grade essential oils, I had become fascinated with Lavender oil. So of course it was the first essential oil that I tried and used. In fact, I diffused it in my bedroom the very night that I got home with my Premium Starter Kit.

I followed the instructions on the diffuser that I received in my kit, adding 3-4 drops of Lavender essential oil to some tap water in the tank. Then I began to diffuse. I fell in love with the aroma and the feeling of peace that it gave me. I also slept very well that night.

When I woke up in the morning, I could not wait for my husband to get home from his regular 7-day shift. He suffers from shift work sleep disorder (a.k.a. SWSD or SWD). Every 10 days his shift changes from nights to days. Therefore he has much trouble getting a good night's rest. Now you can see why I could not wait for him to come home!

So when my husband finally did get home, I told him all about my Lavender experience. He then graciously lent himself to a trial. I proceeded to implement the same regimen for him that I had used on myself.

When my husband woke up the next morning, he said, "I think I am still asleep. I did not get up once last night!" We were both very excited about this. Needless to say, I now pack his work bag with a diffuser and a bottle of Lavender essential oil.
