Whenever anyone in the family (usually one of my kids) has a runny nose, it is Lavender essential oil to the rescue. I use it for ceasing the incessant snot flow or for relieving mild congestion, allowing the family member to breathe more comfortably.

I simply place a drop of Lavender essential oil on the palm of my hand. Then I swirl a finger in the essential oil and run it down the bridge of the child's nose. I am careful not to get it near their eyes.
