Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

My elderly father has gout in his ankles, and when it flares up his ankle joints get feverish and swollen.

Once this would happen, we would have to call his rheumatologist and get him on a 20-day course of steroids ASAP that would of course have side effects. Then it would repeat again after a month of being off the drugs.

This has been a vicious cycle that has not done any good for my father at all.

He was at my home during Thanksgiving for a visit when he had a flare up. So I looked up gout and essential oils and decided to try what my essential oils reference book suggested. I put a few drops of Lemon and Frankincense essential oils on his ankle.

By morning, the swelling was gone, and there was no more discomfort. My dad has now been applying those two oils once daily and has not had a problem in over five months!

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: arthritis — "Ruxiang (Gummi olibanum), the dried gum resin of Boswellia carterii (BC) [frankincense], has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to alleviate pain and inflammation for thousands of years.... The data show that BC extract has significant anti-arthritic and anti-inflammation effects and suggest that these effects may be mediated via the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines."Link
2.Associated topics: arthritis — "We have demonstrated that Boswellia frereana [frankincense] prevents collagen degradation, and inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory mediators and MMPs. Due to its efficacy we propose that B. frereana should be examined further as a potential therapeutic agent for treating inflammatory symptoms associated with arthritis."Link
