Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

I have an autoimmune arthritis that is known for causing joint damage and pain. Two different rheumatologists wanted me to take Enbrel, but I never tried it because I was afraid that it would kill me. So I opted to take 12 ibuprofen a day instead. I did that for about four months.

Meanwhile, I was also following a healthy diet with little to no sugar, so I do not know if the things that work for me would also work for someone who eats a lot of sugar. Sugar is very inflammatory.

When I learned about using essential oils, I mixed together about 5 drops each of Copaiba, Idaho Balsam Fir, and either of the Frankincense oils and put them in a capsule to take once or twice a day as needed. And whenever I have a bad day of aching due to overuse or overindulging on sugar, then I take 3 capsules a day. This protocol seems to wipe out the discomfort in my joints.

It has been about nine months now; I am still on the low-sugar diet, yet I do not even need the essential oils for my joints anymore.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: joints,rheumatoid-arthritis-(RA),arthritis — "Ruxiang (Gummi olibanum), the dried gum resin of Boswellia carterii (BC) [frankincense], has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to alleviate pain and inflammation for thousands of years.... The data show that BC extract has significant anti-arthritic and anti-inflammation effects and suggest that these effects may be mediated via the suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines."Link
2.Associated topics: joints,rheumatoid-arthritis-(RA),arthritis — "We have demonstrated that Boswellia frereana [frankincense] prevents collagen degradation, and inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory mediators and MMPs. Due to its efficacy we propose that B. frereana should be examined further as a potential therapeutic agent for treating inflammatory symptoms associated with arthritis."Link
3.Associated topics: joints — "Herbalists treat skin ailments, such as fungal infections (like candidiasis), wounds, eczema, and acne, with lavender oil. It is also used in a healing bath for joint and muscle pain. One study evaluating treatments for children with eczema found [that] it was therapeutic touch from the mother that improved symptoms; in other words, massage with and without essential oils (including lavender) both reduced the dry, scaly skin lesions. Another study found that lavender oil may improve pain control after surgery."Link
