Note: Not all essential oil brands are the same, and you get what you pay for. If you expect to achieve results similar to those described in this testimonial, then ensure that you are using oils from pesticide-free plants. Also, the brand should use 100% pure, high-quality essential oils that do not contain any synthetic additives. Do your own research or ask a trusted friend to find a brand that is reputable. Buyer beware.

The therapeutic-grade essential oils have been incredibly helpful in handling the Bone discomfort due to a condition called fibrous dysplasia (FD). After lots of web research, I have developed a routine of topically layering essential oils.

I start with diluted Lavender oil and end with Peppermint oil. The oils that I use in-between include a DNA defense called DDR, a circulation blend called Aroma Touch, Geranium, followed by diluted Peppermint. During inflammation cycles, I also apply Helichrysum, Wintergreen, Black Pepper, and White Fir. A light application of diluted Lemon oil also helps in managing the swelling.

Our orthopedic doctor knows we use the oils to help minimize my discomfort. In my purse I carry Lavender, a mixture of the "pain oils" for inflammation cycles, and Peppermint for on-the-go relief. I always apply the oils with Lavender first, then the in-between oils, and finally always ending with Peppermint.

I let each essential oil "dry" before applying the next one. Applying moist heat after the oils seems to help with penetration. Relief comes in 10 to 15 minutes.

Some days I apply the oils several times. But most days it is only 2 to 3 times. I am always seeking wisdom from a variety of research and nutritional sources, as we trust that God has a very specific plan in all of this.

Supporting Scientific Studies
1.Associated topics: bones-/-osteo — "Common herbs, essential oils, and monoterpenes potently modulate bone metabolism.... we investigated several common herbs rich in essential oils (sage, rosemary, and thyme) and essential oils extracted from these herbs and other plants (oils of sage, rosemary, juniper, pine, dwarf pine, turpentine, and eucalyptus) as well as their monoterpene components (thujone, eucalyptol, camphor, borneol, thymol, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, bornylacetate as well as menthol) and found that they inhibit bone resorption.... Our study demonstrates for the first time that essential oils and monoterpenes are efficient inhibitors of bone resorption...."Link
2.Associated topics: bones-/-osteo — "Results of bone density, bone mineral content, bone tensile strength and histological analysis also showed similar trend of results, which supported initial observations of this study. It is proposed that hydroalcoholic extract of dried clove buds has bone-preserving efficacy against hypogonadal [hormonally deficient] osteoporosis."Link
